The New Jersey State Bar Foundation provides free Mini-Court Teacher's Guides for teachers of grades K - 2. The guide features one five-day lesson plan for grades K - 1 and another for grade 2. The purpose is to teach young children about the legal system in an age-appropriate manner. Teachers and lawyers designed the lesson plans, which are easy and fun to use in class. The guide also contains a courtroom diagram, glossary of legal terms, word searches, certificate for students, activities and resources. You can download the Mini-Court Teacher's Guide from this web site.

Attorney How to Get An Attorney to Speak to Your Class

The New Jersey State Bar Foundation offers a free Speakers Bureau, where volunteer attorneys address school, community and senior citizens groups throughout the state on numerous areas of the law.

George Street Playhouse Tolerance Project

The New Jersey State Bar Foundation lends its support to the George Street Playhouse's Touring Theatre, bringing five plays to students in disadvantaged areas throughout the state. The plays, New Kid, Peacemaker, In Between, Tomato Plant Girl and Wasted, address such timely issues as school violence, tolerance, prejudice, drug abuse and peer pressure.
