Also available in PDF format
The New Jersey State Bar Foundation provides free Mini-Court Teacher's Guides for teachers of grades K - 2. The guide features one five-day lesson plan for grades K - 1 and another for grade 2. The purpose is to teach young children about the legal system in an age-appropriate manner. Teachers and lawyers designed the lesson plans, which are easy and fun to use in class. The guide also contains a courtroom diagram, glossary of legal terms, word searches, certificate for students, activities and resources. You can download the Mini-Court Teacher's Guide from this web site.
